I started piano lessons when I was 8 years old. My teachers included members of the Seattle Symphony, and professors from University of Washington, Univerity of Colorado, and Metro State College.
After I graduated from college, I became interested in popular music, and joined a pop/jazz band here in Denver. I played many engagements, both as a soloist and band member. I played at events from small church weddings, to the Denver Country Club, the governor's mansion, and the the Colorado Petroleum Club. Check out the "Bonnie's Performances" link for more information about my professional engagements.
I started teaching piano in 1989. Because of my varied musical backround, my students may choose to study classical, pop, jazz and blues, creative improvisation, and fluent sight-reading. Many of my students accompany their church choir, play in their school's jazz band or orchestra, and go on to study music in College.
I teach both children and adults. Currently, my students range in age from 6 1/2 to 74. Read more about childrens and adult piano lessons by clicking either the "Children's Lessons" link or the "Adult Lessons" link.
